Most businesses have never seen themselves from up here.

A photo from the sidewalk shows a sign. A photo from the air shows a place. You see the yard full of equipment, the patio by the water, the corner people drive past every morning on the way to work.

That last part matters more than it sounds. When people recognize where you are by sight, they remember you. "Oh, that's the shop by the roundabout." That is the kind of familiarity a local business runs on, and aerial shots build it fast.

So we are going to fly Nanaimo, one business at a time, and show it here.

We started with our own backyard.

Before we fly anyone else's business, here is what we shot over Nanaimo harbour at dusk: the floatplane docks, the marina and downtown lighting up behind them.

Same city you see every day. Different angle. That is the whole idea.

Free photos. A feature. No catch.

• We pick one local business per feature. Storefront, yard, farm, job site, patio. If it looks good from the air, it counts.
• We fly it. We pick a time with good light and calm weather, and only fly where it is safe and allowed.
• You get the edited photos, free. Use them on your website, your Google listing, your socials. They are yours to use.
• We write a short feature about what you do and post it here and on our socials.
• You see everything first. Nothing goes up until you have looked at it and said yes.

Why free? Because it is the best way to show what aerial media does for a local business, and because we would rather introduce ourselves with something useful than a sales pitch. If you like the result and want more, we can talk. If not, enjoy the photos.
